DENVER, Colo., June 5, 2006 – Modo Developers, Inc., a Colorado-based developer specializing in the renovation of urban buildings into modern condos, today introduced the Epic Series of condos – four Capitol Hill buildings which will undergo significant interior and exterior renovation to become affordable, modern, urban condos. Renovations to the various buildings are underway, with projected completion dates ranging from January to November 2007. Prices for one- and two-bedroom condos range from $107,000 to $297,000 – but the average price per unit is roughly $185,000.


Each Epic Series building will undergo significant exterior and interior renovation. Exterior renovations will include structural steel architectural elements, balconies, and a rooftop deck, when permitted by historic preservation codes. Interior renovations will include hardwood floors, granite or quartz countertops, high-end kitchen cabinets, stainless steel appliances, suspended halogen lighting systems, high-end bathroom tile, and free high-speed Internet (via Cat5 cable or wireless). A variety of earth-friendly offerings also are available, such as bamboo flooring, epoxied quartz countertops, and wind energy “credits.”
Renovations on the first two buildings already are underway; design schematics are being developed for the third and fourth buildings.

Earth-friendly Features Add To Epic Series Appeal

Some examples include the use of Low-E windows (which reflect light in the summer and let’s light in during winter months); Zodiaq countertops (made from crushed, epoxied quartz that’s gleaned from the earth surface rather than mined); bamboo flooring (eco-friendly because it grows much faster than regular wood); and wind energy credits (allowing owners to use power from alternative sources, rather than traditional coal or nuclear plants).
